Empathy Fund appeal

The COVID 19 situation has drastically changed our current way of life. Several individuals attached to the IIT Gandhinagar have been adversely affected economically and psychologically.

The current situation is bleak for many students, essential service personnels, housekeeping personnel, daycare workers, dining hall workers, and construction workers from challenging socio-economic backgrounds. Several students are undergoing financial difficulties due to their current family circumstances, with their parents struggling for basic livelihood. Many support staff from a very modest socio-economic background are taking undue risks to serve the community better.

Showing empathy in these uncertain times makes us stronger as a community. We invite your generous contributions to the IIT Gandhinagar Empathy Fund to support the following.

  • To provide financial support (for online learning and subsistence) to students who are adversely affected.
  • Livelihood support for essential service personnels, housekeeping personnel, daycare personnel, dining hall workers, and construction workers
  • Medical care for the individuals affected by Covid19
IIT Gandhinagar is committed to the Empathy Fund by offering to double all the contributions received while utilizing the funds.

Let's stay strong together and support the community to reclaim their dreams.
